Updateon this issue. I took the car down to "Gareth" at Northern Alfa, my preferred Alfa specialist and he's checked it out pretty comprehensively and confirms that it is indeed an injector at fault. The car has good compression on all cylinders, good spark on all plugs and no fuel at cylinder 1.

Ihave an Afla GT 3.2 V6 Q2, 2004 build 2005 registered here in Australia. Same thing happened. I have also had 156 JTS and two 196 Spiders, still have a the V6 3.2 Q2 Searched possible causes from wiring to emergency pull cords as recommenced. There is no Emergency Pull cord for the GT the cord only operated the filler cap.
